Deep Fried Entertainment Inc
(DFE) is an independent videogame developer in
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Founded in June 2005 by
industry veterans who were senior members of teams that
delivered some of the most successful and memorable games in
history, including Need For Speed: Underground.
Our Mission
To balance the very best creative art, technical expertise
and invigorating pick up and play gameplay in game
experiences the players will simply label as pure fun.
To develop the games that will inspire future generations of
designers, artists and programmers to lead the industry with
creativity and freedom.
To create an environment that grows people creatively,
professionally, and personally. To have a company culture
based on respect, top quality work, passion for games, and
fun. To make a company that focuses on providing a healthy

The Founders
Chief
Operating Officer (C.O.O.)
Brenda Bailey, BA, BSW
Brenda is a management professional with ten years
experience running businesses in the not-for–profit sector.
Brenda’s largest successes in that realm were in revenue
development and team building, particularly in the realm of
working with large corporate partners on cause marketing
initiatives. Brenda was awarded the Canadian Cancer
Society’s National Employee Award in 2002 for outstanding
Leadership and Teambuilding. Brenda increased the Canadian
Cancer Society’s Revenue in her region from 1.2M to 3.2M
over a two-year period. She did this through outstanding
relationship management and a commitment to creating and
managing high performance cross-functional teams. Brenda’s
responsibilities included managing upwards of 45 employees
and 4000 volunteers as Regional Manager of the Canadian
Cancer Society, and she worked extensively with the Board of
Directors. Brenda is delighted to have an opportunity to
transfer her excellent people management and relationship
building skills to the gaming industry.
Creative Director
Steve Tolin
Steve has been designing and programming games long before
his professional career started. Inspired from the creations
of the Japanese gaming legends, Steve is dedicated to
creating the best gameplay experiences that will be
remembered as innovative childlike fun.
Steve has created an assortment of graphics engines for
various platforms including Dreamcast, PSOne, PS2, PC, GBA
and GameCube.
In 2000, Steve was one of 5 founding programmers of HB
Studios, a studio involved in several successful EA titles.
In 2002, Steve found his true home in beautiful Vancouver.
Art Director
Brian Tolin
Brian comes from a traditional art background of drawing,
painting, and classical animation. High level instruction in
both the traditional arts and digital media. Brian has had a
lead role in contributing to some of the most successful
racing titles in recent years. Brian continues to be
motivated by intriguing design and an enthusiasm for
technical considerations in creating exceptional game art.
